Core Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory scale reactions using glass reactors, heating mantles, and calibrated thermometers.
- Document batch records by recording reaction parameters, raw material quantities, and yield observations.
- Operate pilot scale reactors during scale up trials under defined manufacturing instructions.
- Collect in process samples and submit them with analysis request forms to the testing laboratory.
- Adjust reaction conditions based on written development protocols and validation notes.
- Prepare stability and development reports using approved documentation templates.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- Glass lined reactors, round bottom flasks, and pilot scale vessels.
- Analytical techniques including HPLC and GC.
- Manufacturing batch records and development protocols.
- Laboratory instruments such as stirrers, condensers, and vacuum assemblies.
- Process validation and scale up documentation files.
Experience Context
- Work is performed inside chemical laboratories and pilot manufacturing blocks.
- Reaction batches range from gram scale experiments to multi kilogram pilot lots.
- Without this role, scale up data, reproducibility records, and validation packages remain incomplete.
