Core Responsibilities
- Set compression machines using punch sets, turret assemblies, and feeder mechanisms as per batch manufacturing records.
- Clean compression equipment with validated cleaning checklists and approved detergents before batch changeover.
- Record compression parameters such as hardness, thickness, and weight on in-process control sheets.
- Monitor tablet appearance during runs using visual comparators and sampling trays.
- Handle change parts, tooling logs, and equipment status tags during shift handover.
Skills & Technical Exposure
- Rotary tablet compression machines and tooling assemblies.
- Batch Manufacturing Records and equipment logbooks.
- In-process quality control sampling methods.
- GMP documentation formats and cleaning validation records.
- Hardness testers, friability testers, and vernier calipers.
Experience Context
- Works inside formulation manufacturing blocks handling multiple tablet batches per shift.
- Operates high-speed compression equipment producing thousands of tablets per hour.
- Incorrect setup can lead to batch rejection due to weight or hardness variation.
