Core Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing on protein and peptide samples using high performance liquid chromatography systems with ultraviolet and fluorescence detectors.
- Prepare buffers reagents and reference standards using calibrated balances glassware and controlled temperature equipment.
- Record chromatographic data in laboratory notebooks and controlled electronic documentation systems.
- Operate circular dichroism fluorescence spectroscopy infrared spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry instruments for characterization studies.
- Verify instrument suitability through system checks calibration records and logbook reviews.
- Store samples reagents and working solutions in qualified storage units with documented conditions.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- High performance liquid chromatography systems from Agilent Waters and Thermo Scientific platforms.
- Circular dichroism spectrometers fluorescence readers infrared spectrometers and calorimetry instruments.
- Good manufacturing practice and good documentation practice controlled records.
- Laboratory notebooks electronic data capture software and audit trail systems.
- Sample preparation tools including centrifuges pH meters incubators and cold storage units.
Experience Context
- Work is carried out in a regulated analytical laboratory handling multiple biological samples per study.
- Testing supports characterization and stability evaluation of therapeutic proteins and peptides.
- Absence of this role results in incomplete analytical data and delayed laboratory study closure.
