Core Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed project cost sheets using approved bill of quantities documents for civil, mechanical, electrical, and finishing works.
- Review vendor rate analysis statements and compare them with tender drawings, specifications, and contract conditions.
- Compile monthly cost tracking reports using project budget registers and certified measurement books.
- Verify material consumption statements against purchase orders, delivery challans, and site stock registers.
- Develop variance notes by comparing planned project cost estimates with actual certified values.
- Maintain approved cost approval notes, budget revisions, and supporting financial documents for audits.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- Project budgeting formats, cost break up sheets, and detailed rate analysis documents.
- ERP based cost control systems and spreadsheet based financial models.
- Bill of quantities preparation standards and measurement book documentation.
- Tender drawings, technical specifications, and contract agreement documents.
- Monthly cost reports, variance statements, and budget revision notes.
Experience Context
- Work exposure in large construction project offices handling multi crore civil and services packages.
- Regular interaction with live project cost data covering multiple buildings and infrastructure scopes.
- Absence of this role leads to uncontrolled project spend and delayed financial visibility.
