Core Responsibilities
- Conduct physical assessment sessions using gait analysis tools, measuring tapes, alignment jigs, and clinical assessment forms.
- Prepare prosthetic and orthotic design records using casting materials, digital measurement sheets, and prescription documents.
- Perform trial fitting sessions with alignment devices, adjustment tools, and comfort assessment checklists.
- Document patient fitting outcomes in clinical case files, progress notes, and follow up evaluation records.
- Guide patients during device usage sessions using training aids, mobility supports, and written care instructions.
- Inspect finished prosthetic and orthotic devices against prescription sheets and fabrication specifications.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- Gait analysis equipment, plumb lines, alignment lasers, and posture assessment tools.
- Clinical casting materials including plaster bandages and impression compounds.
- Prosthetic and orthotic design documentation and fitting evaluation formats.
- Adjustment tools such as torque wrenches, alignment jigs, and fitting fixtures.
- Clinical records including patient assessment forms and follow up tracking files.
Experience Context
- Work takes place inside a rehabilitation clinic handling daily patient evaluations and fitting sessions.
- Device fitting volumes include multiple prosthetic and orthotic cases scheduled across clinical working hours.
- Without this role, patient mobility outcomes, device comfort levels, and rehabilitation timelines fail to meet clinical standards.
