Core Responsibilities
- Prepare process flow diagrams, material balance sheets, and equipment sizing calculations for active pharmaceutical ingredient routes.
- Review pilot plant data and translate laboratory parameters into commercial scale manufacturing documents.
- Evaluate reactor heat transfer, mass transfer, and agitation performance using engineering calculation sheets.
- Document process validation protocols, technology transfer reports, and scale up summaries.
- Assess critical equipment limitations during batch scale transitions and document corrective actions.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- Process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and engineering design files.
- Heat and mass balance calculation tools used in pharmaceutical process design.
- Scale up reports, process validation documents, and regulatory submission data.
- Pilot reactors, commercial reactors, filtration systems, and drying equipment.
- Risk assessment documents and process change evaluation records.
Experience Context
- Work conducted across laboratory, pilot plant, and commercial manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to batch size transitions from gram scale to multi ton production volumes.
- Without this role, technology transfer failures lead to unstable batches and regulatory non compliance.
