Core Responsibilities
- Inspect pipeline trenching and concrete works at site using measuring tapes, leveling instruments, and approved civil drawings.
- Verify reinforcement placement and formwork installation by checking bar bending schedules and shuttering layouts.
- Monitor material unloading and storage areas by reviewing delivery challans and material inspection reports.
- Record daily construction progress in site registers and update quantity tracking sheets.
- Supervise civil construction fronts such as foundations, pipe racks, and access roads using approved layout plans.
- Check contractor work against issued for construction drawings and specification documents.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- Civil construction drawings including general arrangement and reinforcement details.
- Survey instruments such as auto level and total station.
- Construction documentation including bar bending schedules and daily progress reports.
- Concrete testing methods such as slump test and cube sampling.
- Pipeline alignment markers and site layout tools.
Experience Context
- Work takes place at active refinery and cross country pipeline construction sites with heavy equipment movement.
- The role covers large project areas involving long pipeline stretches, foundations, and structural works.
- Without this role, construction records remain incomplete and site quality checks fail to align with drawings.
