Core Responsibilities
- Perform sampling of sterile batches using approved sampling tools and record details in batch sampling registers.
- Conduct chemical and microbiological testing on finished products using validated laboratory instruments and approved test methods.
- Review analytical worksheets, raw data printouts, and laboratory notebooks generated during batch testing.
- Verify calibration status of laboratory instruments through calibration tags and equipment logbooks.
- Inspect laboratory areas for housekeeping compliance using checklist documents and area inspection records.
- Approve test result reports for batch release using controlled quality control documentation.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- High performance liquid chromatography systems, gas chromatography systems, and ultraviolet spectrophotometers.
- Sterility testing isolators, laminar air flow units, and microbiological incubators.
- Microbial limit testing, bacterial endotoxin testing, and sterility testing methods.
- Laboratory notebooks, analytical worksheets, and controlled test protocols.
- Stability chambers and stability study data records.
Experience Context
- Work is carried out inside sterile pharmaceutical quality control laboratories within manufacturing plants.
- Role supports testing of multiple sterile product batches, stability samples, and environmental monitoring samples.
- Without this role, batch testing backlogs increase and sterile product release timelines collapse.
