Core Responsibilities
- Install biomedical equipment at client locations using manufacturer installation manuals, wiring diagrams, and mounting tools.
- Carry out preventive maintenance on imaging and diagnostic systems with calibrated hand tools and service checklists.
- Attend equipment breakdowns at customer sites and restore functionality through component replacement and system reset procedures.
- Perform calibration and performance testing using multimeters, simulators, and manufacturer-approved test kits.
- Record service details in job cards, service reports, and compliance logs after each site visit.
- Inspect installed systems during site audits and document equipment condition using inspection formats.
Skills & Technical Exposure
- Diagnostic and biomedical equipment such as X-ray systems, radiography units, and imaging accessories.
- Electrical testing instruments including multimeters, insulation testers, and voltage meters.
- Calibration tools, simulators, and performance verification kits supplied by OEMs.
- Service manuals, installation guides, and preventive maintenance checklists.
- Basic computer systems and service reporting software used for field documentation.
Experience Context
- Work is performed at hospitals, diagnostic centers, and customer facilities across multiple cities.
- Handling of multiple equipment installations and service calls occurs within defined service territories.
- Absence of this role leads to extended equipment downtime, delayed diagnostics, and client service disruption.
