Core Responsibilities
- Inspect LT and HT panels on site using insulation testers, torque tools, and calibrated measuring devices.
- Perform FAT and SAT checks on transformers up to 33kV using approved test sheets and checklists.
- Carry out IR and continuity tests on power and control cables with megger instruments.
- Verify protection relay settings against electrical drawings and manufacturer manuals.
- Record test observations in inspection reports and close punch points on issued documents.
- Witness HV withstand tests and note readings on statutory formats.
Skills & Technical Exposure
- LT and HT switchgear, transformers, and panel assemblies.
- FAT, SAT, IR testing, continuity testing, and ratio testing.
- Megger testers, primary injection kits, and relay test kits.
- IS, IEC, IEEE, and BIS reference standards.
- Electrical schematics, protection drawings, and inspection reports.
Experience Context
- Work takes place across active solar and electrical project sites and vendor facilities.
- Testing covers multiple panels, transformers, and cable runs per project phase.
- Without this role, electrical systems remain uncertified and grid connection is delayed.
