Core Responsibilities
- Interpret well log prints, core photographs, and downhole measurement files to derive lithology and fluid distribution reports.
- Prepare reservoir property charts using porosity tables, permeability plots, and saturation cross sections for field records.
- Review formation evaluation files including total organic carbon sheets, maturity charts, and mineral composition summaries.
- Validate petrophysical models by comparing core analysis reports with digital log curves and calibration sheets.
- Generate reservoir summary documents using interpreted data packs, graphical panels, and archival folders.
- Support drilling and production teams through prepared interpretation notes, depth correlation sheets, and data clarification logs.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- Well logging tools including resistivity, density, neutron, and sonic instruments.
- Petrophysical software platforms for log interpretation and reservoir evaluation.
- Core analysis reports, laboratory test sheets, and depth matching documents.
- Nuclear magnetic resonance logs, image logs, and dipole sonic datasets.
- Geological cross sections, stratigraphic columns, and reservoir property maps.
Experience Context
- Work is based in subsurface offices and field locations supporting onshore and offshore reservoirs.
- The role handles multi well datasets covering conventional and unconventional formations.
- Without this role, reservoir quality interpretation weakens and field development decisions lose reliability.
