Core Responsibilities
- Conduct performance testing of solar surface and submersible pumps using calibrated test benches and load setups.
- Measure flow head and efficiency values through hydraulic testing rigs and record readings on test sheets.
- Verify controller and variable frequency drive behavior using electrical test panels and monitoring meters.
- Inspect pump assemblies during testing to identify leakage vibration and thermal behavior.
- Prepare structured test reports documenting readings curves and compliance results.
- Support inspection activities by presenting tested pumps for certification checks.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- Hydraulic pump test benches and flow measurement systems.
- Electrical test panels multimeters and clamp meters.
- Solar pump controllers and variable frequency drives.
- IS and MNRE testing standards and compliance documents.
- Test reports performance curves and inspection records.
Experience Context
- Work is carried out at a pump testing facility within a manufacturing plant.
- Testing involves multiple pump models across defined capacity ranges.
- Without this role non validated pumps reach dispatch causing field failures.
