Core Responsibilities
- Prepare piping shop drawings using AutoCAD based on approved piping and instrumentation diagrams and line lists.
- Create three dimensional piping models in Revit to represent routing clearances supports and spool orientation.
- Develop isometric drawings showing dimensions bill of materials and weld locations for site use.
- Compile material take off documents from modeled piping systems for procurement reference.
- Update drawing registers and revision records within the document control system.
- Incorporate vendor data sheets into piping layouts to reflect actual equipment connections.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- AutoCAD drafting software for piping layouts and shop drawings.
- Revit modeling environment for three dimensional piping representation.
- Navisworks for model review and clash visualization.
- Piping and instrumentation diagrams line lists and isometric drawings.
- Bill of materials and material take off documents.
Experience Context
- Work is performed in an engineering office supporting refinery and process plant projects.
- Assignments involve handling multiple piping lines across medium to large scale units.
