Core Responsibilities
- Create three dimensional HVAC building information models using Revit based on issued mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Prepare coordinated HVAC layouts by overlaying ducting models with architectural and structural reference files.
- Develop detailed shop drawings and model views for air conditioning systems using project specific standards.
- Run clash detection checks in Navisworks and document identified interferences in coordination reports.
- Update HVAC models following consultant markups and approved design revisions within scheduled milestones.
- Generate quantity take offs and model based schedules required for internal review submissions.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- Autodesk Revit MEP for HVAC system modeling and documentation.
- Navisworks Manage for clash detection and coordination review.
- AutoCAD for preparation of reference drawings and export files.
- BIM 360 for model sharing and controlled document access.
- Mechanical design drawings and HVAC shop drawing sets.
Experience Context
- Work is carried out in a corporate engineering office supporting large scale rail airport commercial and hospital projects.
- Models typically cover multiple floors with extensive duct networks equipment rooms and service shafts.
- Without this role unresolved clashes delay construction sequencing and increase site rework.
