Core Responsibilities
- Operate boilers, cooling towers, and air compressors as per approved utility operating logs.
- Monitor steam pressure, water levels, and compressor parameters on utility panels.
- Record hourly utility readings in shift logbooks and consumption registers.
- Perform routine checks on pumps, valves, and pipelines supplying utilities to production blocks.
- Report abnormal sounds, leaks, and pressure drops through maintenance request forms.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- Industrial boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and air compressors.
- Pressure gauges, temperature indicators, and level transmitters.
- Utility logbooks, checklists, and shift handover registers.
- Water treatment equipment and chemical dosing systems.
- Plant utility distribution layouts.
Experience Context
- Work performed inside a chemical plant utility area supporting continuous production.
- Handling of multiple utility systems supplying steam, air, and water to several units.
- Without this role, production halts due to loss of utilities and unsafe plant conditions.
