Core Responsibilities
- Collect raw material and finished product samples using sampling tools and labeled containers inside the quality control laboratory.
- Perform wet chemical tests using calibrated glassware, balances, and reagents as per approved test methods.
- Operate analytical instruments such as HPLC and UV spectrophotometer for routine sample analysis.
- Record test observations and numerical results in bound laboratory notebooks and controlled formats.
- Maintain laboratory equipment cleanliness through daily cleaning logs and scheduled upkeep records.
- Verify reagent labels, standard solutions, and expiry registers before analytical use.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- High Performance Liquid Chromatography systems
- Ultraviolet visible spectrophotometers
- Analytical balances and pH meters
- Wet chemistry testing methods
- Laboratory notebooks and test report formats
- Good Manufacturing Practice documentation
Experience Context
- Work is carried out inside a pharmaceutical quality control laboratory handling daily incoming and finished samples.
- Multiple samples from production batches are tested per shift using shared analytical equipment.
- Without this role, batch release decisions halt due to unavailable analytical confirmation.
