Core Responsibilities
- Collect raw material, in-process, and finished product samples using approved sampling tools and container labels inside the quality control laboratory.
- Perform chemical and physical testing using analytical instruments such as HPLC systems, UV spectrophotometers, and dissolution apparatus.
- Prepare test solutions, reference standards, and reagents according to approved laboratory worksheets and test methods.
- Record analytical observations in controlled documents including laboratory notebooks, test reports, and instrument printouts.
- Maintain calibration status of laboratory instruments by checking calibration tags and equipment logbooks.
- Handle retention samples, stability chambers, and sample storage cabinets as per laboratory storage instructions.
Skills & Technical Exposure
- High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) systems and associated software.
- UV-Visible spectrophotometers and dissolution testing instruments.
- Laboratory glassware, analytical balances, and pH meters.
- Pharmacopoeial test methods and analytical procedures.
- Good Laboratory Practice documentation formats and data recording systems.
Experience Context
- Work takes place inside a pharmaceutical quality control laboratory handling routine batch release and stability samples.
- Daily exposure includes multiple samples per batch, analytical instruments running in parallel, and controlled documentation flow.
- Without this role, batch testing backlogs increase and material release timelines are disrupted.
