- Check finished components using vernier calipers and micrometers against inspection drawings.
- Record dimensional readings in quality inspection reports and control sheets.
- Inspect incoming raw materials using gauges and surface finish comparators.
- Verify calibration status of measuring instruments through calibration tags.
- Segregate inspected parts and tag accepted and rejected lots physically.
Skills & Technical Exposure
- Vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Inspection drawings and quality check sheets.
- Surface roughness comparators.
- Calibration stickers and instrument registers.
- Basic measuring fixtures.
Experience Context
- The role operates on a manufacturing shop floor with continuous machining activity.
- Daily work involves inspection of multiple component batches produced per shift.
- Without inspection records, parts cannot move to dispatch or assembly stages.
