Core Responsibilities
- Mark foundation layouts for towers and substations using surveying instruments and drawings.
- Supervise excavation and concreting work with batching records and cube test reports.
- Check reinforcement placement using bar bending schedules and measuring tools.
- Inspect shuttering alignment and levels with spirit levels and theodolites.
- Maintain site measurement books, concrete pour cards, and curing logs.
- Verify material quantities against approved BOQ and delivery challans.
Skills & Technical Exposure
- Total stations, dumpy levels, and surveying accessories.
- Concrete mixers, vibrators, and cube testing equipment.
- Structural drawings, bar bending schedules, and BOQ documents.
- Site measurement books and pour approval formats.
- Foundation and structural inspection checklists.
Experience Context
- Work is carried out at open construction sites for transmission towers and substations.
- Projects include multiple foundations, heavy concrete volumes, and structural components.
- Poor civil execution causes alignment failure, structural weakness, and rework.
